Reflection of a building in a building - city center
The day started out at Steelcase World Headquarters. I loved getting to see the different furniture options they have. I was impressed by their hospitality line. Looked way better than anything I remember seeing in the hospital. We toured two buildings while there and they had a really cool stair case that leads to the cafeteria area which is also pretty. One thing I noticed is they are all about making work an enjoyable place to be for their employees. There are even stations where you can walk on the treadmill while you work. Steel case fed us lunch before we toured the second building and it was decent...
After Steelcase we went to Frank Lloyd Wright's Meyer May House. I love Frank Lloyd Wright's style and was so excited for this. Its in a cute neighborhood and the house is much different from those around it. But what else would you expect. Over the years the house had been remodeled due to growth of families so during the restoration they restored it back to the original floor plan. I loved getting to see the dinning room table that was also designed by Frank Lloyd Wright.
For dinner we went to a Mexican restaurant in Grand Rapids and it was an interesting experience. Our waiter told us none of the food was good. After tasting the food I agreed. On our way back we noticed music and dancing in the City Center. We girls from Utah totally danced and enjoyed seeing the difference in style of dance. It was way fun! What an awesome day!!!
