Today I visited Cambridge.  We met our tour guides next to the market.  That particular market has been there for over 400 years.  The tour guide showed us all around Cambridge and told us great stories.  She was a sweet lady.  I learned about Cambridge College, which was interesting.  I still don't know if I completely understand how it works.  The Kings College Chapel was pretty. It has fan vaulting accompanied by flying buttresses instead of columns.  The stained glass inside the chapel has two levels.  The bottom level depicts biblical stories from the New Testament and the top depicts biblical stories from the Old Testament.  The aspect that I found interesting is that the sections from the Old Testament connect to the sections below from the New Testament.
Many prestigious people have attended Cambridge over the years.  Many scientific brake through happened at the college.  Sir Isaac Newton discovered gravity.  The picture of the tree above is a descendant of the very apple tree he sat under.
We went punting, which is absolutely the best way to see Cambridge, well at least I think so.  Punting is where you sit in a boat and someone uses a long pole to guide the boat.  Our guides were a great time.  The picture of the bridge above was designed by Isaac Newton.  It didn't used to have bolts and screws in it, but when some students disassembled it to study it they went to put it back and couldn't.  So they had to add bolts and screws.  Random fact about Cambridge, there is a ton of bikes/bikers!  I ended my day by visiting Buckingham Palace.
