Some Favorite Things in Ireland (day nineteen)

It’s the last day in Ireland, and I have never felt more like a tourist in my life.  I took more pictures of random things this day than any other on the trip so far.  I wanted to share a few of my favorite things with you.  First, is the green chair in my hotel room.  Wow!  It caught my eye the second I walked in the door.  I have wanted to sit in a comfortable chair basically since we got here.  The chair is my favorite color and in firm yet comfortable.  I like the style because it is simple.  The wall paper throughout the hotel caught my eye because it is pretty and not white.  After living in student housing I value color on walls so much more. The wall behind the bed was covered in the dark paisley wall paper as seen above.  It made the white sheets of the bed pop! Love it.  I was fortunate to have a great view of the city from my 5th story window.  This night scene is so different from the scene you see during the day.  During the day you see these bright yellow H & W cranes.  They were used in the ship business.  Next favorite thing is the waffles.  On the outside they sparkle a little bit from the sugar on them.  They have a sweet flavor to them and are delicious without anything on them.  It took eating a few before I figured out that there are actually chunks of sugar in them.  No wonder I like them! In a shopping center in Belfast the staircase, elevator, escalator center caught my eye.  It seems crazy to have all three ways of getting to your destination.  I like the industrial designed used here.  Those are just a few of my favorite things in Ireland.

  1. O.K. Sign me up for Ireland. It is beautiful!!! David calls those waffles, Belgian waffles. Costco has the closest thing to it that we have been able to get in Utah. Eat as many as you can while you have the real thing.
    Have fun, Lorene
